RoboCup Junior is RoboCup for schools. Teams of young girls and boys with an age between 10 and 19 years construct and program their autonomous robots in one of three different leagues.
In six regional competitions held in Berlin, Hannover, Mannheim, Rastede, Sankt Augustin and Vöhringen German RoboCup Junior teams first have to qualify for a participation at the national RoboCup Junior final.
The final of the RoboCup Junior competition is embedded in the RoboCup German Open. The final is used to determine the German champions and to nominate the RoboCup Junior teams for the world championship RoboCup 2017 in Nagoya.
